Let’s review the major issues with this tie-down situation. First, using one assembly is not only illegal but extremely unsafe as well. Second, the strap is pulling the vehicle forward on the deck which is the wrong direction. Lastly, you should not drape the strap over the top of the ball mount. Under tension, it will act like a knife blade and quickly saw the strap in two.
