Recent design changes to our ratchet handles make them better than ever! The strap mandrel is now free-wheeling, eliminating any "stickiness" common when adjusting most other ratchets.
The one piece handle and addition of mandrel caps makes this handle 40% more rigid and keeps debris out of the moving parts.

At Mac's we pride ourselves on offering a variety of options as we know not all tie-down situations are the same. Our Easy Release Ratchet is available in our popular Direct Hook Options and in a more traditional Standard Option.
Advantages of the Direct Hook Option
Direct Hook Ratchet Option
The Direct Hook option connects the attachment hook directly to the ratchet handle, moving it out to your attach point to give you superior access, especially in cases where chassis clearance might be a problem. We recommend this end style for most applications.
Standard Ratchet Option

We offer this traditional style ratchet as another option. A fixed length of webbing is typically sewn on onto the end, separating the attachment hook from the ratchet.
Choose this option if your webbing and attachment hook are still in good condition but your ratchet is worn or out of date.
- To use, first remove the bolt from both your old and new ratchet. Slide the webbing and attachment hook piece off of the old bolt and place it in the new ratchet, securing with the new bolt.
